吉田氏は、リンダ・リングル州知事（ハワイ州）より、Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) 理事会員に推薦され、第一期（2005年7月1日〜2008年6月30日）としても活動し、また第二期として2008年7月1日より2012年6月30日までの活動が決定いたしました。
吉田氏のHawaii Tourism Authority（HTA）理事会への参加はハワイ州上院議員による観光委員会より、両期とも満場一致で可決されました。
吉田氏は、2005年〜2006年をHTA副理事長として、また現在はHTA Budget & Audit Standing Committee（経費＆会計委員）の副理事として、並びにAdministrative Standing Committee（行政委員）, Marketing Standing Committee（マーケティング）, and Sports Investigative Committeeの委員として活動しています。
また、2008年2月より、新たに設立されたapan Hawaii Tourism Council (JHTC)−「日本ハワイ観光協議会」の初回委員としても活動しており、Airlift Committeeに所属しています。（JHTCはハワイ−日本間の観光を改善する為の協議会であり、年に二度、日本側とハワイ側の委員が会い協議が行われる。）

Mr. Yoshida was nominated by Governor Lingle to serve on the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) Board of Directors from July 1, 2005 - June 30, 2008 and for a second term from July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2012. His nomination was unanimously confirmed by the Senate Committee on Tourism for both terms. He has served as Vice Chair of the HTA from 2005-06 and is currently Vice Chair of Budget & Audit Standing Committee. He also served on the HTA’s Administrative Standing Committee, Marketing Standing Committee, and Sports Investigative Committee.
In February 2008, Mr. Yoshida joined the Japan Hawaii Tourism Council (JHTC) as one of its founding members and currently serves on the Airlift Committee. The JHTC meets twice a year with JHTC members in Japan. |
